The Cameron Landscapes & Gardens general maintenance teams are horticulturally trained expert gardeners who can give your garden the overhaul that it needs and offer plant knowledge and advice. We provide garden maintenance in and around west London in areas such as Notting Hill, Kensington, Ladbroke Grove, Fulham, Putney and Barnes. The gardeners are reliable, trustworthy and always leave gardens clean and tidy, removing any garden rubbish as they leave. They supply their all their own tools, ladders, lawn mowers, rubbish bags and sprays and work in teams of two, a Site Manager and an assistant. Work includes weeding, pruning, mulching, planting bulbs and annuals, spraying for pests and diseases, feeding and fertilising, clearing up leaves and jet-washing paving. You can ring Cameron to book a one-off maintenance visit.If you would like regular work, we can organise a regular maintenance contract where the gardeners visit weekly, fortnightly or monthly throughout the year. One Cameron gardener will become your site manager, and he or she will work regularly in your garden with an assistant. Our in-house plant designers will also visit the garden at least twice a year to ensure that the standard is excellent and offer advice on improvements to the garden. Essential Seasonal Jobs:
Spring
Lawncare: This is the right time to weed and feed lawns, and apply a moss-killer if required. Cameron can also come in to do regular mowing. Spread Spring Mulch: Spreading a generous layer of organic mulch on the beds and planters will add nutrients to the soil and help to retain soil moisture and help beds to stop drying out during the summer.
Plant Summer Annuals: For pretty summer flowers, Cameron offers a wide range of flowering plants for beds and planters which can last through the summer until the autumn. Favourites include Cosmos, Bacopa, Nicotiana and Sweet Peas. Mixed boxes of annual herbs are also available.
Apply Fertiliser: A good slow release fertiliser should be applied in Spring.
Prune Box Hedges: Box hedges should be pruned in June. Summer
Lawncare: Cameron can come in to mow during the growing season.
Feed plants in planters and beds: It is advisable to feed the garden regularly during the summer months.
Watering: During the hot months, Cameron can make extra visits for watering and to check or install irrigation systems to stop the garden drying out. Autumn
Autumn: This is the right time to put the garden to bed for winter, clearing any summer debris, old plant matter and autumn leaves.
Spread Autumn Mulch: Spreading a generous layer of organic mulch over the beds and planters will protect root balls from frost and add nutrients to the soil.
Lawncare: This is the right time to scarify, spike and topdress lawns.
Plant Spring Bulbs: Bulbs should be planted now to ensure a magnificent display in spring, We offer a large variety of bulbs, favourites include Alliums, Narcissi and Tulipa.
Plant Winter Annuals: To counteract the dull winter days, Cameron offers flowering annuals for gardens and window boxes, including Ornamental Cabbages, Cyclamen, Erica and Violas. Flowering times vary, but many such as Cyclamen flower through the winter until May.
